NY Artist Returns Home as Hearst Artist
To Work with Dreyfoos Students
Kim Holleman will be a featured Hearst Artist in the Dreyfoos Hearst
Masterclass series this fall. Ms. Holleman will present to visual arts sculpture
and architecture students October 2, 3 and 4 during the school day on the
school campus adjacent to CityPlace in Downtown West Palm Beach, Florida.
Students worked with the concept of the OASIS: Outdoor Areas Suitable for Instructional Support.
Hearst Artist Masterclass: a three day intensive filled with presentations of earth works, sustainable designs and ideas for O.A.S.I.S.
Students viewed and discussed ancient earthworks, modern works of public art, sustainable designs, open source construction systems for growing shapes in the land, and viewed a variety of diy mobile trailer designs for bike trailers. We looked at work, discussed, made drawings and cardboard models from their designs.
